In Stafford MSD, our Instructional Technology department aims to assist teachers with the integration of technology in the classroom while meeting the needs of our students. We do this by providing teachers with training sessions focused on technology tools that can be seamlessly infused into their everyday lessons. We also offer support in the classroom with technology integration lessons and training for our students on various tools.

Our Technology Integration is focused around the Technology Applications TEKS and the six strands that are included. These strands are:
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Research and Information Fluency
  • Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making
  • Digital Citizenship
  • Technology Operations and Concepts

All of the strands listed above are also important 21st century skills that students need to compete in today's job market. As we focus on preparing students for college and careers, we must provide them with opportunities to practice and master those skills.
